Dance School – Group/School Dance Classes

Group classes at Manderson’s Dance Centre offer structured recreational tuition for those wanting to learn Latin and sequence dances in a more informal and casual setting. Group classes at the studio have always proved to be popular, offering a relaxed atmosphere as well as a fun and enjoyable learning environment. Latin class on Tuesday evenings can include many of the Latin dances from cha cha cha, to merengue, to rumba and salsa, just to name a few. Wednesday evening ballroom group classes place an emphasis on basic dance floor skills suitable for weddings and social functions, as well as incorporating sequence dances including old time progressive dances, new vogue, and Latin.

All ages and levels of dance ability are welcome, with both Tuesday and Wednesday evening classes being delivered in two parts; with both beginners and advanced level tuition on offer with participants being able to choose to attend one or both classes on the night. Group classes at the studio can be attended individually or with a partner.

All tuition is delivered in an informative and structured manner, tailored to meet the needs of all participants in the group, whether they attend as a couple or as an individual. Both Tuesday and Wednesday evening group and social classes are deemed by attendants to be nights full of learning, laughter, dance and music.

School Formal/Semi-Formal Dance Classes

Classes to prepare students for dance performances at school semi-formals or formals, can be provided at the school or the studio. Classes can include a mixture of traditional and modern music, with dances to suit. As part of the service, a teacher can attend the formal evening to assist in the dance performance.

Movement, music and laughter is a great way to bring people together. When simple and easy moves are done in a structured manner, it will facilitate colleagues to work together as a team. This type of fun and relaxed activity will create an environment that promotes healthy work relationships. This service can be provided at the studio, or onsite.
